The 9th International Conference on Eurasian Politics and Society was organised by CESRAN International AND York St John University on 13-16 July 2022 in York, UK.
The conference hosted 10 scholarly panel sessions, 5 Keynote Speeches, and 3 Roundtable Discussion.
IEPAS2022 started with the welcome addresses of Professor Ester McIntosh (York St. John University), Dr Ayla Gol (York St. John University), Professor Ozgur Tufekci (CESRAN International), Professor Ken Booth (CESRAN International / Aberystwyth University). This was followed by the keynote lectures of distinguished scholars, Professor Caroline Kennedy (Loughborough University), Dr Jenny Mathers (Aberystwyth University), Professor Michael Cox (London School of Economics), Professor Beatrice Heuser (University of Glasgow), and Professor Luis Tome (Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa).
In the first roundtable session, chaired by Dr Jan Ruzicka (Aberystwyth University), Dr Nick Ritchie (University of York), Professor Nicholas Wheeler (University of Birmingham), Dr Laura Considine (University of Leeds), and Dr Olamide Samuel (University of Leicester) presented their contemporary research on “Nuclear Weapons and Putin’s War”
In the second roundtable session, chaired by Dr Jan Ruzicka (Aberystwyth University), Professor Benoit Pelopidas (SciencePo-Paris), and Professor Ondrej Ditrych (Institute of International Relations, Prague) presented their contemporary research on “World Order After Putin’s War”.
In the third roundtable session, chaired by Professor Ken Booth (CESRAN International / Aberystwyth University), Professor Nick Wheeler (University of Birmingham) presented his research on “: The Theory and Practice of Trust in International Relations”.
In the scholarly panels, in total, 57 papers were presented by 67 participants. The conference ended with a closing ceremony and a post-conference evaluation meeting.
